A trip to the East Coast

Kids have been pestering us to bring them for a vacation... so long there's a swimming pool, nothing else matters. We've been wanting to go to the East Coast as the beaches there are more inviting than the ones in West Coast.. if u know what I mean...

We headed to the Karak Highway around 4 pm, passed thru the East Coast Highway and reached Cherating around 6 pm. There was a bit of rain and road detour that slowed us down but I believe it would have been a smoother and faster ride. Around 7.30 pm we checked in at Awana Kijal and after having a seafood dinner everyone catched their 40 winks early.

The next day after a hearty breakfast, the children could not wait to get into the pool. As for me, I went to the beach and played with the 'waves'. After the Friday prayer, we decided to go to Kuala Terengganu and we stopped at every beach that we passed by. Headed back to the hotel around 9 pm and dinner was in the hotel room... KFC!!!

Last day - in the pool from morning till check-out time.. kids had loads of fun but the parents... tired... who says vacations are relaxing !!!???

Back being a student....

I have just completed my first semester as a postgrad student!!!.. God! My, oh! my.. the old 'tinker' has turn to rust!!!.. Gone are the days where your lump of meat is able to absorb mass and mass of data and still able to function properly. What have I got myself into.... can't we just learn for the sake of gaining knowledge.. why do we have be tested in that small window of opportunity.. trying to put out our thoughts in those 3 grueling hours.. hmmm, who is that smart aleck who created the 'examination'... let me google it now....

A very nice atmosphere..... the ambiance is calming and soothing.. they have various types of dishes served; be it continental, oriental or fusion food. It only opens in the late afternoon until late at night. Where is it located.. use the middle ring road.. and once you have reached Tmn Melati... keep to your left.. then you will see 2 shell stations.. the restaurant is located next to the last Shell station. It seems that there is a live band on Friday & Saturday nite..

It's 5.18 am 1st January 2008, still not asleep since last year.. i mean last nite.. How did I celebrate new year.. in front of the pc ..surfing and surfing and surfing.. how productive :)

What to expect in the year to come.. well for one I'll be one of those parents who will be sending and fetching and sending and fetching my kids to school and kindy.. geez... I wish .. they would have invented a transporter .. just like Star Trek..'Beam me up scotty'...
